Jeff is the CEO and co-founder of Scale Computing. Prior to founding Scale Computing, Jeff was co-founder and CEO of Corvigo, a Linux-based anti-spam appliance, where he oversaw the company from startup through funding to acquisition. After the acquisition, Jeff served as VP of Marketing at Tumbleweed Communications. Prior to Corvigo, Jeff was co-founder, COO and VP of Marketing at Radiate. Jeff holds a degree in Computer Science from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.
Chief Product Officer, Board Member, Co-founder
Scott is a founder and Chief Product Officer at Scale Computing, where he is responsible for technology and product strategy, services, and support. Previously, Scott was co-founder and CTO of Corvigo where he was responsible R&D, leading to the development of Intent-Based Filtering Technology. Prior to Corvigo, Scott served as VP of Engineering at Radiate. Scott holds a degree in Computer Science from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.
Chief Technology Officer
Phil White is the Chief Technology Officer at Scale Computing. Phil conceived and designed many of Scale Computing’s core technologies including SCRIBE, Scale’s Computing’s proprietary storage technology, and HyperCore, Scale Computing’s state machine-based cluster management technology. Previously, Phil was co-founder and CTO of Fitquake, which provides PCI compliant scheduling and billing automation to the health club industry. Prior to Fitquake, Phil was a co-founder and software architect at Corvigo, where he was closely involved in the design and implementation of the MailGate enterprise email filtering appliance. Phil has also held engineering roles at Openwave, Radiate, and Tellabs. Phil graduated from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
Chief of Staff and VP of Strategic Planning & Analysis
Rod is the Chief of Staff and VP of Strategic Planning & Analysis for Scale Computing. Rod has over 20 years of experience with companies ranging from pre-revenue startup to Fortune 100. Previously, Rod served as COO of the Indiana Venture Center, a venture catalyst organization focused on the creation and development of technology-based startups in Indiana. Prior to that, Rod held management consulting roles with Computer Sciences Corporation and Alder Associates, focused on strategy implementation and leadership development in growth-oriented companies. Rod has a Bachelor of Science in Management and a Master’s in Business Administration, both from Purdue University’s Krannert School of Management.
Chief Revenue Officer
Dave is the Chief Revenue Officer at Scale Computing. Dave previously served as Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing at EVault, Inc., and prior to that as the Chief Operating Officer of ProClarity Corporation. He has 30 years of experience in growth-stage software companies, including both small and large market capitalization entrepreneurial entities. He joined ProClarity from VERITAS Software in 1999. At VERITAS, he served as Vice-President of business development where he was responsible for merger and acquisition activities, in-bound technology licensing, and divestitures and the integration of software platforms. Mr. Hallmen served as Vice President, Business Development of Seagate Software, Vice President of Marketing for Arcada Software and Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Artisoft, Inc. Dave attended the University of Arizona, where he studied Management Information Systems
Chief Financial Officer
Tim is the Chief Financial Officer for Scale Computing. Prior to Scale Computing, Tim served as the Chief Financial Officer of Angie’s List, Inc. (NASDAQ: ANGI), where he was responsible for all aspects of finance and accounting, as well as overseeing the legal, HR, and facilities functions at the company. Prior to joining Angie’s List, Mr. Harvey was the Vice President of Planning for WebEx Communications, acquired by Cisco Systems ($3.2B). At WebEx he was responsible for all financial planning and analysis activities, as well as strategic planning and investor relations. Before WebEx, Mr. Harvey held a variety of executive roles in finance and operations at VERITAS Software, now part of Symantec ($13.6B) and Silicon Graphics Inc. (SGI).
Tim also spent seven years at IBM in various management roles in financial planning, pricing, and accounting, as part of IBM’s World Trade Group. He started his career in the New York Practice office of Deloitte, Haskins & Sells (now Deloitte LLP).
Mr. Harvey earned an MBA in Finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business and a Bachelor’s degree in Government from Wesleyan University in Connecticut.
