The addition of Carbonite Availability to the Scale Computing portfolio adds another level of recoverability to meet certain requirements for business continuity/disaster recovery (BCDR) planning. The Availability solution bolsters your Disaster Recovery plan in which a Tier 1 server requires a near real-time recovery time objective/recovery point objective (RTO/RPO) versus snapshots or point-in-time backups.

The Availability Quickstart Service helps you ensure the successful implementation and configuration of the Carbonite Availability software to protect one business-critical virtual machine (VM) running Microsoft Windows or Linux Server OS in near-real time. This service includes the installation of the Carbonite Availability software, the configuration of the DR protection job, an understanding of the Carbonite Replication console, and non-destructive failover testing of a server which will enable you to successfully manage and administer Carbonite Availability in your environment. Eliminate the risks associated with a self-install, missing possible critical configuration options, and know that your DR server functions and has been tested in the event of a true DR situation.

The Availability Quickstart Service helps you gain an understanding of how the software provides data protection through real-time replication and ensures that the installation is valid, tested, and running correctly. In the event of a disaster, you will know you have recoverability of your critical systems.
