Dell VxRail™ was built as an integrated system: hardware and software lifecycle managed together. That worked when VMware® licensing was predictable, and hardware refresh cycles were planned. Since VxRail 7.0 reached end-of-life in September 2025 and the Broadcom® licensing changes are pushing renewal costs into unplanned territory, that tight coupling has become a liability.
