Yes, Scale Computing has acquired Adaptiv Connect and the Enterprise Connect Solution has been integrated into Scale Computing and is now available as SC//Connect Enterprise.

Do we need to install any equipment or replace the existing router/firewall?

We offer both virtual or physical edge device options to fit your deployment needs, an SD-WAN edge device will need to be installed for each branch location. You have to connect the Ethernet cables and power it up, and we will do the rest remotely. In many cases SC//Connect Enterprise provides the opportunity to retire obsolete network appliances and simplify your edge infrastructure. You also have the flexibility to your existing router or firewall, but some minor configuration changes may be required during the installation process.

Is it easy to add locations?

Yes, our SD-WAN Cloud Orchestrator provides zero-touch provisioning so that new sites can be added quickly and easily using any type of connections.

Is it easy to add bandwidth to an existing site?

Yes, SC//Connect Enterprise provides the flexibility to scale bandwidth by simply adding additional links to get more speed as it can leverage any inexpensive broadband internet connection. The service configurations can easily be updated in our cloud orchestrator to increase your throughput. Note that the service licenses are sold based on the site bandwidth with tiers available from 30 Mbps to 2 Gbps. Prorated license fees may apply when the additional site bandwidth goes into a higher license tier.

I have MPLS. Why do I need SC//Connect Enterprise ?

SC//Connect Enterprise delivers better cloud performance, simplified management, and much lower bandwidth cost-per-megabit compared to MPLS when using broadband connections. SC// Enterprise Connect automatically encrypts traffic so you can safely use any Internet connections to create a private network with secure site-to-site VPN connectivity.

Can remote users securely access resources and services hosted behind SC// Connect Enterprise?

Yes, SC//Connect Mobile licenses provide your remote workers with simple and secure remote access that is powered by our SD-WAN Cloud. This is much easier than a traditional corporate VPN and remote workers get a better experience for business cloud applications and there is no additional hardware or VPN concentrator required.

What kind of reports can I see about my network?

The SC//Connect Cloud Orchestrator Cloud provides secure, role-based access to online reports. User can view interactive charts showing bandwidth usage by application category, plus network health and quality of experience (QoE) scores with latency, jitter and packet loss stats for all sites and links.
