Glimpse into the Crystal Ball for Scale Computing in 2020
Dec 23, 2019
It’s that time of the year where many companies and analysts make predictions for the following year. It’s also that time of year where you may be thinking about a snow globe more than a crystal ball.
So this time around at Scale Computing, instead of merely making predictions, we have some very real technologies to show you. In fact, you may have already seen them if you have already seen our presentations from Tech Field Day 2019.
As you may have heard, we have recently announced the HC3 Edge HE150 appliance based on the Intel NUC. This announcement represents the beginning of Scale Computing providing edge computing infrastructure on the smallest appliances possible. These appliances are making IT infrastructure as accessible with their small form factor, ease of use, and self-healing, highly available architecture.
That announcement came along with the announcement of our HC3 Edge Fabric which among its many possible uses, has eliminated the need for a separate backplane switch in the HE150 appliances.
Tech Field Day 2019 also gave us the opportunity to preview some upcoming management capabilities such as REST APIs and enhanced multi-cluster monitoring.
But please, check out these video recordings of the presentations from Tech Field Day 2019 where these technologies and more are demonstrated and explained. These videos provide a great preview of some of the exciting things on our technology roadmap for 2020.
Have a happy and prosperous New Year from Scale Computing!
